BBL Challenge: Asthma Edition

I woke up this morning feeling AWFUL.  Achy, exhausted, congested, coughing...just plain ol' sick.  I've been at my new job for two weeks and I had to call in sick.  Well done, Jones.

The good news is that I was able to get a doctor's appointment in the morning and she said that I have a cold, but that combined with my nasty allergies have made my asthma flare up again.  I haven't had issues with asthma in about 3 years!  So I'm back on the inhaler.  Which, honestly, seems like a bigger deal than it really is.  At first it's like OMG ASTHMA!!! But really it's two puffs twice a day.  And I am lucky in that mine is very mild--it only really shows up on a breathing test and I cough a lot.  But still, freakin' asthma.  Geez.

So, my Brazil Butt Lift Challenge is off for today.  It will hopefully continue tomorrow, minus the workout component until I feel better.

Arrgh.

  1. Hey Jones- I'm having an issue with this too. Apparently my asthma is worse than I thought because I didn't know the coughing was part of it (only thought wheezing was). I want to start running again but I don't want to have to go back on the steroid inhaler I had to use after I got back from China (damn smog). We should chat about this because I don't know how to deal with it at all. -Laura

  2. Hi Stark! Sorry to hear you are suffering. I don't know what to tell you. For me I think it was the combination of the cold plus allergies that really made it flare up. Now that the cold is under control I am using it a lot less (1-2x/day instead of 3). I'm hoping that if I can tamp down the allergies, maybe I can stop using it? I don't even know. The good news for me is that I'm still able to run without wheezing, at least!
